그제 충북 옥천 지진은 올 들어 발생한 내륙 지진 가운데 가장 강력했는데요.
굉음이 울리고 놀란 주민들이 대피하는 급박한 현장이 영상에 고스란히 담겼습니다.

휴일 저녁, 평온한 마을에 천둥 소리 같은 굉음이 울리고 깜짝 놀란 개들이 함께 짖기 시작합니다.
-(기자) 바로 옆 마을 진동이 울리자 집집마다 주민들이 놀라 문 밖으로 나와 봅니다.
도로 위 CCTV는 물론 표지판도 심하게 흔들립니다.
규모 3.1의 본진에 이어 두 차례의 소규모 지진도 잇따랐습니다.
이곳은 진앙지에서 불과 몇십 m 떨어진 도로로, 마을과 마을이 만나는 지점입니다.
이번 지진으로 이렇다 할 피해는 보고 되지않았지만, 충북 지역 전체에 최고 진도 4 정도의 흔들림이 전달됐습니다.
-(기자) 이번 지진은 호남에서 강원까지 이어지는 이른바 옥천대라는 지층대인데, 지난해 10월 지진이 발생한 괴산, 지난달 문경도 같은 지층대에 속합니다.
-(기자) 이번 지진으로 아직 피해가 접수된 것은 없지만, 옥천국은 마을 주택과 다리, 문화재 등 시설물 피해가 없는지 조사하고 있습니다.

The earthquake in Okcheon, Chungbuk, the day before yesterday was the strongest inland earthquake that occurred this year. The urgent scene of residents being startled by the loud noise and evacuating was vividly captured on video. This is reporter Lee Chae-yeon. On a holiday evening, a thunderous noise rings out in a peaceful village, and startled dogs start barking. -(Reporter) As soon as the vibration rings in the next village, residents in each house are surprised and come out to see. Not only the CCTV on the road, but also the signboards shake severely. After the main shock of magnitude 3.1, two minor earthquakes followed. This place is a road just a few tens of meters away from the epicenter, where villages meet. No significant damage was reported from this earthquake, but a shaking of up to intensity 4 was transmitted throughout the Chungbuk region. -(Reporter) This earthquake is part of the so-called Okcheon Belt, a stratum that extends from Honam to Gangwon. It belongs to the same stratum where an earthquake occurred in Goesan last October and Mungyeong last month. -(Reporter) No damage has been reported from this earthquake yet, but Okcheon County is investigating whether there is any damage to village houses, bridges, cultural properties, and other facilities.
