SSG는 선두 타자 최정예 솔로포를 시작으로 6점을 뽑아내며 승기를 잡았습니다.
그리고 타자 1번 타순이 돌아오자 삼성은 양창섭을 마운드에 올렸습니다.
두 차례 몸쪽 공을 던진 양창섭의 4구째.
또 한 번 몸쪽으로 들어온 공은 결국 최정의 유니폼에 스치고 말았습니다.
그 순간 고의로 몸에 맞히는 공, 즉 빈볼을 확인한 듯한 오재원 해설위원의 발언이 나왔습니다.
이건 대놓고 때린 건데.
옷에 스친 게 다행이고요.
저는 이런 상황을 가장 싫어합니다.
1루로 출루한 최정을 향해 양창섭이 모자를 벗고 사과했지만 오재원은 말을 이어갔습니다.
이건 사과할 필요도 없고요.
이 전부터 이상해서 제가 좋게 넘어가려고 했는데 대놓고 때린 거거든요.
최정 선수가 모를 리가 없죠.
이후 별 문제 없이 재개된 경기는 SSG의 승리로 끝났지만 논란은 계속됐습니다.
경기 후 양창섭이 자신의 SNS에 '물고기처럼 인간도 입으로 걸린다'며 오재원의 해설을 겨냥한 듯한 글을 올렸고, 몇 시간 뒤 오재원도 '자신은 눈으로 본 것을 말했을 뿐'이라는 의미의 글을 올려 응수했습니다.
이를 두고 팬들 사이에서는 '해설위원이 빈볼이라고 단정짓는 건 부적절했다', '오재원의 지적이 틀린 말은 아니다'라는 등의 갑론을박이 벌어지고 있습니다.
오재원은 지난달 한 매체와의 인터뷰에서 '코리안 특급' 박찬호를 저격하는 발언을 해 논란이 되자 '말에 신중을 기하겠다'며 사과한 바 있습니다.

Yesterday, in the bottom of the seventh inning of the game between Samsung and SSG, SSG took the lead by scoring six runs, starting with a solo home run by leadoff hitter Choi Jung. When the batting order came back to the first batter, Samsung brought Yang Chang-seop to the mound. On Yang's fourth pitch, after throwing two balls towards the body, another ball came in towards the body and ended up brushing Choi Jung's uniform. At that moment, commentator Oh Jae-won made a remark as if he had confirmed an intentional hit-by-pitch, also known as a beanball. He clearly hit him on purpose. It's fortunate that it only brushed his clothes. I hate this kind of situation the most. Yang Chang-seop took off his cap and apologized to Choi Jung, who had reached first base, but Oh Jae-won continued his commentary. There's no need to apologize. I've been trying to let it slide because it's been strange from the beginning, but he clearly hit him on purpose. There's no way Choi Jung wouldn't know.
