아직 초기 단계지만, AI가 법 조항과 판례 등을 학습하고 도움을 주는데요.
하지만, 변호사법 위반 논란 등 풀어야 할 숙제도 많습니다.
진선민 기자가 취재했습니다.
법률 데이터 40만 건을 학습해 질문에 답하는 최근 선보인 대화형 인공지능 서비스입니다.
공원에서 목줄 풀린 맹견을 피하려다 다쳤다면, 견주에겐 어떤 책임이 있을까?
질문을 입력하자, 적용되는 법 조항과 판례를 알려줍니다.
다만, 아직 정교한 수준은 아닙니다.

지난해 시행된 중대재해처벌법 적용 사례로 2014년 세월호 참사를 드는가 하면, 스토킹처벌법을 몰라 스토킹은 '경범죄'라고 설명합니다.
아직은 데이터량이 부족해서, 좀 더 많은 법률에 관련된 자료를 넣어서 오류도 줄이고 신뢰성도 높아지고… 법무법인이 개발한 이 인공지능 시스템은 기업을 대상으로 중대재해처벌법 위험 요소를 분석합니다.
고객사가 입력한 정보로 AI가 위험 요소를 분석해, 이렇게 빨간 불이 들어오며 초고위험군이라고 알려줬습니다.
단순한 업무는 이제는 좀 더 자동화된 시스템으로 미루고, 변호사는 좀 더 고도화된 판단 업무에 집중할 수 있도록 하는 겁니다.
법조계에선 아직은 정보 검색 수준이지만, 기술이 발전하면 업무 영역이 확대될 수 있습니다.
변호사가 아닌 경우에는 법률 사무를 취급할 수가 없는데, 현재 인공지능 AI 같은 경우에는 당연히 변호사도, 사람도 아니잖아요.
인공지능이 법률 사무를 본격적으로 취급하면 변호사법 위반이란 논란은 법조계가 앞으로 고민해야 할 과제입니다.

Recently, artificial intelligence services have begun to be introduced in the legal field. Although it is still in the early stages, AI is learning legal provisions and precedents and providing assistance. However, there are many issues to be resolved, such as controversies over violations of the attorney law. Reporter Jin Seon-min has the story. The recently unveiled conversational AI service learns from 400,000 legal data entries to answer questions. If you were injured trying to avoid a unleashed dog in a park, what responsibility does the dog owner have? When you enter a question, it tells you the applicable legal provisions and precedents. However, it is not yet sophisticated. Huh? Doesn't this seem right? It cites the 2014 Sewol ferry disaster as an example of the application of the Serious Accident Punishment Act enacted last year, and explains that stalking is a 'minor crime' because it does not know the Stalking Punishment Act. There is still a lack of data, so by adding more law-related materials, errors can be reduced and reliability can be increased... The AI system developed by the law firm analyzes the risk factors of the Serious Accident Punishment Act for companies. Based on the information entered by the client company, the AI analyzes the risk factors and alerts you if it is a high-risk group with a red light. Simple tasks are now being delegated to more automated systems, allowing lawyers to focus on more sophisticated judgment tasks. In the legal field, it is still at the level of information search, but as technology advances, the scope of work can be expanded. If you are not a lawyer, you cannot handle legal affairs, but of course, AI is neither a lawyer nor a human. If AI begins to handle legal affairs in earnest, the controversy over the violation of the attorney law is an issue that the legal community will have to consider in the future.
