바그너그룹 수장 프리고진이 병력 철수에 전면 합의하면서, 러시아 군당국과 용병 그룹 사이의 정면 충돌은 피하게 됐습니다.

우크라이나가 아닌 러시아로 총구를 돌린 용병 기업 바그너그룹.
무장 반란을 일으킨 바그너그룹은 러시아 남부 로스토프 나누두의 군 시설을 장악한 뒤 모스크바를 향해 진격했습니다.
바그너그룹이 진입한 도로내시에서는 유류저장고 화재가 발생하고 곳곳에서 교전도 벌어지면서 긴장이 고조됐습니다.
하지만 바그너그룹 수장인 프리고진이 병력철수를 전격 지시하면서 러시아 군 당국과 용병 그룹 사이에 싸움은 피하게 됐습니다.
프리고진은 하루 만에 모스크바 200km근처까지 왔지만 유혈 사태까지 막기 위해 병력을 되돌린다고 밝혔습니다.
러시아 크렘린 궁 대변인은 반란 주동자인 프리고진과 바그너그룹 병사들을 처벌하지 않겠다며, 프리고진은 벨라루스로 떠날 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
유혈 사태를 막거나 막는 게 처벌보다 중요하다고 설명하면서, 우크라이나 전쟁의 이번 사태가 영향을 미치지는 않을 것이라고 일축했습니다.
양측의 합의는 벨라루스 대통령의 중재안에 이루어졌습니다.
앞서 바그너그룹은 러시아 국방부가 자신들의 후방 캠프를 미사일로 공격했다며 쇼이구 국방 장관 등 군 수뇌부의 처벌을 요구하며 반란을 일으켰습니다.
푸틴 대통령은 등에 칼이 꽂히는 상황이라며 가담자를 처벌하겠다며 강경대응 방침을 밝혔고, 대테러 작전 체제를 발령하면서 내전 우려까지 나왔습니다.
미국 바이든 대통령도 마크롱 프랑스 대통령과 숄츠 독일 총리, 수넥 영국 총리가 논의에 나서는 등 세계 각국이 이번 반란이 우크라이나 전쟁에 미칠 영향에 촉각을 곤두세웠습니다.
젤렌스키 우크라이나 대통령은 이번 사태로 푸틴 러시아 대통령의 통제력 상실이 입증됐다며 F-16 전투기 등 지원을 거듭 촉구했습니다.

The Wagner Group, a Russian mercenary group that led the invasion of Ukraine, has sparked concerns of a civil war by inciting an armed rebellion and advancing towards the capital, Moscow. However, a direct confrontation between the Russian military authorities and the mercenary group was avoided when the leader of the Wagner Group, Prigozhin, agreed to a full withdrawal of troops. This is reporter Jo Yoon-jung. The Wagner Group, a mercenary company, turned its guns not on Ukraine, but on Russia. After seizing a military facility in Rostov-on-Don in southern Russia, the armed rebel Wagner Group advanced towards Moscow. Tensions escalated as a fuel storage tank caught fire and skirmishes broke out in various places along the road to Doronaysk, where the Wagner Group had entered. However, the fight between the Russian military authorities and the mercenary group was avoided when Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner Group, ordered a sudden withdrawal of troops. Prigozhin announced that he had come within 200km of Moscow in just one day, but decided to pull back his forces to prevent a bloody incident. A spokesperson for the Russian Kremlin Palace announced that they would not punish Prigozhin, the instigator of the rebellion, and the soldiers of the Wagner Group, and that Prigozhin would leave for Belarus. He explained that preventing or stopping a bloody incident is more important than punishment, and predicted that this incident would not affect the war in Ukraine. The agreement between the two sides was mediated by the President of Belarus. Earlier, the Wagner Group had rebelled, demanding the punishment of military leaders such as Defense Minister Shoigu, claiming that the Russian Ministry of Defense had attacked their rear camp with missiles. President Putin announced a hardline response policy, promising to punish the perpetrators, and even raised concerns about a civil war by declaring a counter-terrorism operation. President Biden of the United States, President Macron of France, Chancellor Scholz of Germany, and Prime Minister Sunak of the United Kingdom have all discussed the potential impact of this rebellion on the war in Ukraine. President Zelensky of Ukraine repeatedly called for support, including F-16 fighter jets, claiming that this incident proved the loss of control by President Putin of Russia.
