오염수가 방류되면 수산물 소비가 크게 줄어들 수밖에 없다는 건데, 양소영 기자가 수산시장 상인들의 이야기를 들어봤습니다.
상인들은 비수기가 빨리 왔다고 했습니다.
통상 날이 더워지면 수산물 소비가 줄기는 하지만 그 시기가 빨라졌다는 겁니다.
우리나라 해류로도 다 흘러오잖아요.
다 똑같은 바다라고 생각을 하시니까 당장에는 걱정이 되셔서 많이 안 드시는 것 같아요.
여름부터 후쿠시마 오염수가 버려지면 당장 가을 대목부터 장사가 어려워지지 않을까.
21년째 수산물 장사를 해왔다는 임미정 씨는 정말 오염수를 버리겠느냐고 되물으며, 판매자로서만이 아니라 소비자로서도 걱정이라고 말했습니다.
그 말 나오고 나서 멍게 일본산이냐고 다 물어봐요.
팔기만 하고 난 안 먹나요.
나도 먹어요.
내 자식도 먹여야 하는데 나도 불안하잖아요.
소비자들 역시 찜찜함을 쉽게 털어버리긴 어렵습니다.
걱정 많이 되죠.
먹는 입장에서는, 소비자 입장에서는 건강에 문제가 있으니까.
이제 육고기를 많이 먹고.
요새 장사가 안 된다고 밝힌 한 상인은 통관 단계에서 방사능 검사를 거치는 만큼 믿고 먹어도 되지 않겠냐고 덧붙였습니다.
통관될 때 방사선 검사 다 해서 통관을 시키잖아요.
회사에서도 매일 나와서 방사선 검사를 하세요.
그러니까 믿고 잡수셔도.
이런 가운데 오늘 오후 서울 노량진 수산시장에서는 수입 수산물 원산지 표시 특별 점검이 진행됐습니다.
원산지 확인하러 나왔어요.
이거는 국산, 저기는 수입산.
지금껏 원산지 표시 점검은 명절이나 휴가철 등 수산물 소비가 느는 시기에 있지만 정부는 앞으로 두 달간 특별점검을 진행하기로 했습니다.
오염수 방류가 임박한 상황에서 시장에서도 원산지 표시 의무를 잘 지키도록 경각심을 잘 갖게 하겠다는 취지입니다.

Ms. Lim Mi-jung, who has been selling seafood for 21 years, asked if they really intend to dump the contaminated water, expressing her concern not only as a seller but also as a consumer. After that news came out, everyone asks if the sea squirt is from Japan. Do you only sell and not eat? I eat it too. I have to feed my child, and I'm also anxious. In the meantime, a special inspection of the origin of imported seafood was conducted at the Noryangjin Fish Market in Seoul this afternoon. I came out to check the origin. This is domestic, that is imported. So far, origin labeling inspections have been conducted during times of increased seafood consumption such as holidays or vacation seasons, but the government has decided to conduct special inspections for the next two months.
